DJUKANOVIC IN LONDON YESTERDAY
MONTENEGRO WILL BE EUROPEAN

Podgorica – Montenegro's President Milo Djukanovic spoke yesterday before professors and students of the prestigious St. Anthony College in Oxford. The main subject of his talk was the current position of Montenegro in the light of the Belgrade Agreement.
The signing of the Belgrade Agreement by Montenegro is one more proof of Montenegro's high responsibility for wider regional interests. It is also a proof of Montenegro's continuing efforts to create partnership relations with the European Union (EU) and international community – Djukanovic said.
According to Djukanovic, the process of the implementation of the Agreement will not be easy. But, he said that "the future of Montenegro will be European – whether Montenegro decides to remain in a union with Serbia after the period of three years, or Montenegro and Serbia both decide to be independent states".
Today Djukanovic was supposed to talk with Great Britain's Foreign Minister Jack Straw, but the meeting was put off due to the obligations of the British chief of diplomacy in the crisis region of India and Pakistan.

PRESIDENT OF MONTENEGRO MILO DJUKANOVIC ABOUT THE ACCUSATIONS FROM ITALY
ANOTHER SHOT IN THE DARK FROM ITALY

Podgorica – Commenting on the charges brought against him by a prosecutor from Bari (Italy) regarding the smuggling of cigarettes, Montenegro's President Milo Djukanovic stated in London yesterday that it was a cheap political shot in the dark meant to thwart the positive political trend which is under way in Montenegro.
Djukanovic reminded the press of his yesterday's meeting with Italian vice Minister of Foreign Trade Adolfo Urso, who expressed his gratitude in the name of the Italian Government for all that had been done for the stamping out of crime between Montenegro and Italy. Djukanovic believes that to be the official attitude of the Italian Government.
He invited the prosecutor and all the relevant governmental agencies of Italy or any other state, to bring out in public all they have against him. In the course of the following days – ha said – a complete view of the case will be obtained through contacts of Montenegrin and Italian governmental agencies.
Djukanovic said that the canceling of the meeting with the British chief of diplomacy had nothing to do with the charges brought against from Bari, and that the canceled meeting with Straw would not influence the relations between Great Britain and Montenegro.

PRIME MINISTER DESIGNATE FILIP VUJANOVIC INVITED THE LSCG TO THE NEW GOVERNMENT
IF THE LIBERALS REFUSE – THERE ARE OTHER PARTIES

Podgorica – Prime Minister designate for the new republic Government Filip Vujanovic invited yesterday the Liberal Alliance of Montenegro (LSCG) to "raise above their personal interests and join the new coalition Government of the sovereign bloc".
I am preparing a program which would be in the first place acceptable for the pro-independence parties – said Vujanovic to the Podgorica news agency "MINA".
In case the parties that support Montenegro's independence refuse my program, then I will talk with those that also make up the Parliament and who do not put personal interests before a certain program – said Vujanovic.
